In Grimbergen, Belgium, Father Ihor Shaban, a representative of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, met with benefactors and donors who have supported charitable works in Ukraine.

Over 100 people attended the meeting. Father Ihor had the opportunity to personally thank the donors for their generosity: “Today, we are not just saying, ‘Thank you!’ We are testifying to the power of kindness, to the fact that true love for one’s neighbour works miracles. You are God’s hands, offering support in hardship, giving hope, and reviving faith.” This was reported by the UGCC Information Department.

During the meeting, a brief report detailed how benefactors’ support enabled the Mudra Sprava foundation to implement numerous initiatives, including aiding war-affected families, distributing food, and assisting children. The priest underscored that these compassionate donors are more than just financial supporters; they are “participants in God’s mission, a light in the darkness of human suffering and trials.”

“We know there’s much more to do and many hearts that need warmth,” emphasized Father Karel Stoutemiers, Abbot of Grimbergen Abbey. “But united by faith and love, we can overcome any challenge. The Church isn’t just a building; it’s all of us together. Everyone who opens their heart to their neighbour is a living stone within it.”
