UGCC Counselling Center holds two training lectures
March 11, 2024
On March 4 and 9, 2024, Maryna Danyliv, head of the UGCC Counselling Center, held two training lectures on project management.
The financial sustainability of a community is very important today, as it makes it possible to fully meet the challenges of the times possible. In the context of a community, this sustainability is defined as a “balance” between the financial component and the result (effect) of the activity. Therefore, within the framework of the MAPA training project, which has been conducted by the Patriarchal Youth Commission of the UGCC for many years, on March 4, 2024, participants had the opportunity to talk to the head of the Counselling Center Maryna Danyliv on the topic of finance.
On March 9, Maryna Danyliv delivered a similar lecture at the program “Strengthening Lay Ministry in Parishes and Promoting Christian Values” by the UGCC Commission on Education and Formation.
At both meetings, the participants discussed 2 components of financial sustainability: project activities and financial management in the parish and community.
“Successful project implementation and achievement of the planned result directly depends on the correctness of calculations at the start of the project. This is a way to see the opportunities and risks of the project in advance. On the other hand, at the stage of project implementation, it is important to properly account for all financial processes, understand indicators and other indicators to coordinate activities in a timely manner,” Maryna Danyliv said in her commentary.
The participants of the training had the opportunity to make and present calculations for their social project ideas, discuss funding sources, and receive information about difficulties at the beginning of the project and ways to overcome them.
