In today’s challenging martial law environment, the role of the non-profit sector is growing. This is since such organisations act as both initiators and implementers of social projects.

UGCC Consulting Centre holds formative meetings for consecrated persons

With the participation of the UGCC Consulting Centre team, several lectures were held as part of the “Formation Training for Monasteries” project, both online and offline. They were attended by monastery superiors, managers, and other stakeholders. In particular, consecrated persons of the Order of St. Basil the Great, the Studite Statute, the Sisters of the Servants of the Immaculate Virgin Mary, the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Family, the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer, the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph, the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Josaphat, the Congregation of the Sisters of Charity of St. Vincent, the Congregation of the Sisters of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Fatima, and others.

During the training modules of Blocks 5–6, the participants discussed economic aspects, in particular social entrepreneurship, as it strengthens the social component of ministry.

During the 6th training block, which is currently taking place in Zarvanytsia on 17–21 June, they talked about grant activities to implement planned projects, as well as the importance of such a project stage as budgeting.

The project participants had the opportunity to talk about the budgeting process and the basics of forecasting with Maryna Danyliv, head of the UGCC Consulting Centre.

“The main objective of the training is to provide practical advice for budgeting, to focus on the main points of the financial stage, both for those who directly count, prepare budgets (for example, responsible persons), and for managers/ superiors who have other/controlling tasks in this financial process”, Maryna Danyliv said in a comment.

The participants also shared their successful experience in implementing projects with those who had not had such experience to inspire others to take steps in their development and growth.
