True Leadership, the Art of Negotiation, and Values in Sales: The Second Module of “Action in Hope” Took Place in Kropyvnytskyi
February 21, 2025
From February 17–19, 2025, the Kropyvnytskyi community had the opportunity to participate in the second training module of the mini-MBA project “Action in Hope.”
Training lectures and interactive tasks on three main topics—”Leadership,” “Negotiations,” and “Sales”—were conducted by Andriy Rozhdestvensky, a lecturer and co-author of the educational program.
On the first day of classes, participants from the Kropyvnytskyi community had the opportunity to discuss leadership, virtues and values of a true leader, and the development of one’s own character. They then discussed practical tools, such as different approaches to leadership and styles of people management, in particular considering Keith Grint’s leadership model and Hersey and Blanchard’s situational leadership model. Separately, they also had the opportunity to discuss how to delegate authority and give proper feedback.
“Under the guidance of our talented lecturer Andriy Rozhdestvensky, with whom we had already collaborated during the ‘Healing Communities’ project, we gained invaluable experience. Classes with Andriy were filled not only with useful knowledge, but also with interactive forms of learning that gave energy and positive emotions!” summarizes the training module participant Natalia Liagul. In turn, participants from the parish community of the Nativity of John the Baptist UGCC in Kropyvnytskyi add, “His experience, energy, and non-standard approach charged each of us with the motivation to act consciously and effectively.”
The second day of work was dedicated to participants creating a value proposition in a business model. “How to understand the true needs of the client and adjust your product accordingly?” was the question that participants pondered.
As representatives of the parish community of Kropyvnytskyi note on their Facebook page, “together we worked in teams, where everyone had the chance to express themselves, discussed real challenges and looked for solutions, and finally understood that a leader is not the one who stands in front, but the one who leads to results.”
“On the third day, we talked about how to conduct negotiations during sales, build communication with the client when selling products. So, on the first day we learned about leadership, on the second day the topic of discussion was working with the value of the product, and on the third day—conducting negotiations,” summarized Andriy Rozhdestvensky.
Summarizing the three-day training, module participants noted: “This module is another step towards our development and the creation of a community of leaders who are not afraid to take responsibility and act in the name of change. Ahead are new challenges, but we know the main thing: leadership begins with Action.”
