Third Session of Rehabilitation Camp for Military Families Kicks Off in Lviv Region
July 17, 2025
The third and final session of the rehabilitation and recreation camp for Ukrainian military families has begun in the Lviv region. This project is an initiative of the Mudra Sprava Patriarchal Foundation and the Patriarchal Pilgrimage Center, with the support of its long-term donor, the German charitable organization “Kindermissionswerk.”
This session marks the end of the current phase of cooperation with the donor.
This time, the organizers chose a new location near a body of water to offer participants more summer recreation in harmony with nature. The rehabilitation program includes families of soldiers from various regions of Ukraine, including Sumy, Chernihiv, Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Rivne, Volyn, Donetsk, Kharkiv, and Chernivtsi regions.
Among the participants are defenders with amputations, wounds, spinal injuries, and those who have returned from captivity. Despite these challenges, the atmosphere in the camp is filled with gratitude, openness, and a deep desire for healing.
Animators from the “Vikhy” Animator School, led by the camp’s spiritual director, Father Vasyl Kinakh, were actively involved in creating the program and leisure activities. His role was to provide spiritual guidance and a warm presence for everyone seeking answers to difficult questions or simply needing support.
The organizers used the opening program to present the vision of the entire initiative. Families were invited to openly experience everything prepared for them: excursions, unique meetings with psychologists, spiritual practices, and perhaps even unexpected personal discoveries.
As the organizers emphasize, each session was a separate community, a unique story, and a memory created together.
