December 23, 2024
On December 20, with the participation of the UGCC Consulting Center, a lecture-training on “Financial Resilience and Grants” was held, organized for participants of the UGCC youth movement “Ukrainian Youth for Christ”.
This educational event took place within the framework of the project “Strengthening lay ministry in parishes and promoting Christian values,” which is conducted by the Patriarchal Commission of the UGCC for Family and Laity Affairs.
During the meeting, participants had the opportunity to learn about the key aspects of financial resilience, in particular: how to plan the budget of a community and projects, principles of financial management to ensure transparency and discipline, opportunities to create social, charitable, and profitable projects.
Maryna Danyliv, head of the UGCC Consulting Center, paid special attention to business modelling: from idea to project finalization. Using Alexander Osterwalder’s Business Model Canvas, participants learned the principles of identifying the target audience, building a value proposition, and forecasting expenses and revenues.
In addition, the following were considered: features of grant application preparation; search for donors and investors; risk management during project implementation.
The training provided participants with useful tools for financial stability and community self-sufficiency.
“We are grateful to everyone who joined, and we invite you to participate in future events!” said Maryna Danyliv.
