The Patriarchal Foundation Mudra Sprava has launched a new project “Healing Communities”.

On 26–30 January 2024, 30 representatives of the Zelenodolsk community took part in the Healing Communities training course at the Patriarchal House in Lviv. Among them were entrepreneurs, businessmen, representatives of the government and local authorities, community activists and opinion leaders.

According to Fr Lyubomyr Yavorskyy, Patriarchal Econom of the UGCC and one of the co-founders of the course, “It is very important for the Patriarchal Foundation Mudra Sprava to create projects not only of humanitarian response, but also of visionary and semantic focus. Then we work directly with people, restoring their hope and helping them to see the future. After all, without hope, it is impossible to see your own future.”

The educational project “Healing Communities” includes both educational activities and psychological rehabilitation, as well as spiritual recovery of each participant. For this purpose, for 5 days, participants take part in lectures by professional teachers, strategic sessions, discussions and spiritual conversations, visits to historical monuments in Lviv, and self-discovery.

The project is being implemented with the support of the Renovabis International Charitable Foundation.

We would like to emphasise that this is only the first stage of cooperation with communities to rebuild socio-economic life in the regions of Ukraine directly affected by the war. In the future, the participants will have the opportunity to join further work within the framework of the “Action in Hope” community training course and establish cooperation with the UGCC Counselling Center.

At the same time, this is only the first stage of the training and educational project “Healing Communities”, and therefore only the first community. We have started and continue to implement changes in the future. So, follow our updates! Together we can do much more.
