The Patriarchal Foundation “Mudra Sprava” Handed Over a Generator to the Kyiv Sports Lyceum

On February 18, 2026, a significant event took place for the Kyiv Sports Lyceum—the institution received a high-capacity generator that will fully secure the electricity supply for its sports complex.

The delivery of this equipment was the result of cooperation with the charitable organization “Caritas of the Archdiocese of Kraków,” initiated by Cardinal Grzegorz Ryś, facilitated through the Charitable Organization “Patriarchal Foundation ‘Mudra Sprava’”, and supported by the Kyiv City State Administration.
Valentyn Mondryivskyi, Deputy Head of the KCSA and Kyiv City Council Deputy, noted that he had recently met with the Patriarchal Econome of the Ukrainian Greek-Catholic Church, Father Lyubomyr Yavorskyy. During their meeting, the sides discussed the urgent needs of the capital’s educational institutions, particularly in light of continuous attacks on the energy infrastructure and a challenging winter. This collaborative effort resulted in rapid, targeted assistance for the sports lyceum.

“In a time of continuous attacks on our energy infrastructure and a challenging winter, this kind of assistance is a vital necessity. The generator will completely meet the electricity needs of the lyceum’s sports complex. Training sessions, competitions, and the educational-athletic process will continue uninterrupted. Consequently, our young athletes will be able to keep forging their character and working toward exceptional results,” Valentyn Mondryivskyi emphasized.
The provided generator represents more than just technical equipment; it is a symbol of solidarity and support for Ukrainian youth. Thanks to this new backup power source, the athletes will be able to maintain their training schedules and participate in competitions regardless of power supply disruptions.
The KCSA expressed its deep gratitude to the international partners and the “Mudra Sprava” Foundation, which operates on the core Christian values of solidarity and service.
“The philosophy is simple yet profound—to help where it is needed most, to uphold human dignity, and to invest in the future through the education and development of our youth. That is why supporting the sports lyceum is an entirely logical step rooted in shared values,” stated the Deputy Head of the KCSA.

The handover of the generator is a major contribution to the stable operation of the educational institution, the development of sports in the capital, and the strengthening of the resilience of Ukrainian society.
