Support for IDPs: Three Holy Hierarchs Parish in Brovary Distributed Food Packages and Easter Breads (Paskas)
April 9, 2026
In the parish community of the Three Holy Hierarchs in Brovary, another distribution of humanitarian aid took place for internally displaced persons (IDPs) who were forced to leave their homes due to the war. The initiative is implemented on an ongoing basis and is designed to support those most in need during this difficult period.

The assistance was made possible thanks to the support of the faithful of the Slovak Greek Catholic Church, as well as personally by the Metropolitan of Prešov, Jonah Maxim. Logistic support was provided by the “Mudra Sprava” Patriarchal Foundation.
Before the distribution of the food packages began, the pastor of the community, Father Oleh Panchyniak, addressed those present. In his remarks, he emphasized the importance of solidarity and trust that people from different countries around the world place in the Church by supporting those who need it most. The priest also highlighted the spiritual dimension of the assistance, reminding everyone of the victory of life over death through the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Following a joint prayer for the donors and benefactors, the participants of the event received food packages. In addition, ahead of the upcoming Easter holidays, people were presented with Easter breads (Paskas) as a sign of support and a reminder of hope and the light of the Resurrection, even in challenging circumstances.
The organizers note that such initiatives not only meet the basic needs of people but also strengthen the sense of unity, mutual support, and faith in the victory of good over darkness.
