April 10, 2025
The first phase of the “Action in Hope” mini-MBA program recently concluded in Kropyvnytskyi, culminating in a successful project defense.
This educational initiative, implemented by the Patriarchal Foundation “Mudra Sprava,” has equipped 20 community representatives with vital skills since early February. Participants completed five modules covering ethical business, marketing, leadership, team building, communication, and various aspects of project and financial management.
The program proved transformative for many, including Ms. Natalia, an internally displaced person from Kharkiv. She shared how the program helped her overcome feelings of loss and inspired her to launch her own private psychological services practice.
During the project defense, participants presented a diverse range of business ideas, showcasing not just newfound knowledge but a strong commitment to community development. Projects included social bakeries, sewing enterprises, youth spaces (patriotic and IT-focused), cafes, and confectioneries.
Father Lyubomyr Yavorskyy, Director of the Patriarchal Foundation “Mudra Sprava” and co-founder of the program, highlighted the participants’ broadened perspectives. He noted that most projects prioritized community development and featured a significant social component, focusing on creating jobs and employment opportunities for vulnerable individuals.
Ms. Maryna, an internally displaced person from Kherson, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing how the training offered a chance to improve not only her own life but also the lives of other families. She also sees the program as a pathway to securing grants and scaling her project.
The “Action in Hope” program concluded with a certificate presentation. All participants will now receive two months of professional support from the UGCC Consulting Center. This support will help them refine their project launch strategies and prepare their final grant applications.
