From May 2–4, 2025, representatives of the Poltava community participated in the second training module of the “Action in Hope” mini-MBA program from the Patriarchal Foundation “Mudra Sprava.” This educational and outreach program is implemented thanks to the support of benefactors from abroad.

Poltava “Action in Hope” mini-MBA participants learn effective communication, partnership building, and HR management

Three days of training were dedicated to acquiring skills for effective communication and PR, building clusters, and quality personnel management.

Effective communication and PR

The initial day of training, led by Father Ihor Yatsiv — a priest, lecturer, and communications specialist — focused on communication and public relations (PR). The session comprised four modules, each exploring crucial aspects of communication, branding, and audience engagement.

The first section introduced PR fundamentals, emphasizing its role in brand, business, or idea development, and how it significantly accelerates success. The second part focused on effective communication, highlighting the importance of understanding the target audience and covering practical aspects like media cooperation, communication methods, and interview techniques. The third block addressed crisis communication, equipping participants to respond competently to inevitable information crises. Finally, the course explored social media’s power as a tool for image building, marketing, partner engagement, and reputation management.

“At the end of the course, we received feedback from the participants — and it was extremely valuable. For some, the topic of crisis communication became important, while others for the first time looked at PR as an integral part of their development,” noted Father Ihor Yatsiv.

The course became a practical tool for participants seeking to build successful communication, strengthen their public presence, and develop their own ventures based on modern PR strategies.

Fundamentals of HR

On the next training day, representatives of the Poltava community, along with Liliia Cherniak, an HR consultant, completed the “Human Resource Management” course, which covered key aspects of modern human resource management. Course participants gained practical skills and theoretical knowledge necessary for effective personnel management in business.

The course program included eight key topics:

Throughout the course, participants were able not only to master the theoretical base but also to work through real cases, discuss the challenges of the modern labour market, and share their own experiences.

Thanks to this course, participants deepened their understanding of HR’s role as a strategic business partner and gained tools that will help improve the effectiveness of personnel management in their organizations.
