The handover took place on the premises of the lyceum. The event was attended by the Director of the Department of Education and Science of the Odesa City Council, Yuliia Filler, Deputy of the Odesa City Council, Svitlana Osaulenko, Director of Lyceum No. 56, Svitlana Fomenko, as well as parents, teachers, and students of the educational institution. This was reported by the press service of the Odesa Exarchate of the UGCC.

During the handover of the generator, Bishop Mikhail Bubniy emphasized that the Church will continue to support the residents of Odesa during this difficult period of war.

“In a time of war, when the enemy shells our civilian infrastructure, including educational institutions, the Church cannot stand aside. We are making every effort to ensure that life goes on, and that our children and youth have proper conditions for obtaining a quality education and upbringing. Each of us must work in our own place so that Ukraine can withstand this brutal war. Only together are we strong, and in unity lies the strength of the people. The enemy fails to break or divide us, although he tries to do so in various ways. We, however, work together for victory, the happy future of our state, and a better destiny for our children,” the Bishop noted.

He also added: “I am very pleased that thanks to the ‘Mudra Sprava’ Patriarchal Foundation, as well as our benefactors and donors, I have the opportunity to hand over this powerful generator for the needs of Odesa Lyceum No. 56. May it become a reliable support for this wonderful educational institution, so that the educational process takes place continuously, and students, teachers, and staff have enough light — both in the classrooms and in their hearts.”
