Live meetings, live ideas: UGCC Consulting Center supports social entrepreneurship development in Novyi Rozdil

This physical presence is crucial as it allows for a complete understanding of how communities function, what they experience, and the specific challenges they face. It also provides an opportunity to engage not only with pastors but also with parishioners and individuals directly involved in implementing social and entrepreneurial initiatives.

This week, the Consulting Center team had the opportunity to visit the Parish of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Novyi Rozdil. “We share a long and fruitful cooperation with Father Ivan Rybko and the local parish community,” notes Maryna Danyliv, Director of the Center.

One result of this collaboration was a grant application submitted with the participation of the UGCC Consulting Center. Thanks to this effort, support was secured from the charitable organization “L’Œuvre d’Orient” to purchase equipment for producing varenyky and pelmeni. Today, this equipment is already operational and yielding positive results.

The purpose of this latest meeting was not only to observe the results of the implemented idea but also to work with Fr. Ivan to plan the next steps: increasing productivity, expanding sales channels, and strengthening the entrepreneurial component. Such projects are of strategic importance: they create jobs and can serve as a source of support for other social initiatives.

“It is vital to support initiatives where active priests involve the community in labor, particularly those who have lost loved ones in the war or the wives of military personnel,” emphasizes Maryna Danyliv. “These projects combine entrepreneurial and social components, opening new opportunities for people and providing a future for parish life.”

In turn, representatives of the parish community and the Caritas Novyi Rozdil center operating within it noted: “It was a warm and inspiring working visit. We shared a sincere dialogue, discussed future steps, and exchanged ideas for joint labor. Doing good is always easier and more joyful together, and friendship provides even more strength and faith in great changes.”

It is worth highlighting that the UGCC Consulting Center plays a key role in such cases: assisting with financial calculations, strategizing, document preparation, and forecasting. “Even social projects require precise calculations and professional planning, and that is exactly what we provide,” the expert adds.

“We are delighted to see the success of our parishes and stand ready to continue supporting initiatives that combine social ministry with entrepreneurship, bringing new life to communities,” Maryna Danyliv concluded.
