Listen, Understand, Interact: “Action in Hope” Participants Explored the Secrets of Effective Communication
June 2, 2026
On May 31, 2026, the “Pechera” space in Kryvyi Rih hosted the second training day of the fourth module of the educational program “Action in Hope,” implemented by the Patriarchal Foundation “Mudra Sprava.”

The training brought together 30 civic activists, local government representatives, entrepreneurs, business leaders, and opinion leaders enrolled in the leadership and managerial competence development program.
The day’s topic was dedicated to effective communication—one of the key tools for successful leadership, teamwork, and the execution of socially vital projects. During the training, participants examined communication as a holistic process that encompasses the transmission, perception, and comprehension of information, alongside the importance of high-quality feedback between speakers.
Special attention was given to types of communication, common mistakes in conveying information, and barriers that can arise during interaction. Participants analysed the causes of misunderstandings, the impact of personal experience on message perception, and the mechanisms through which different people can interpret the exact same information in distinct ways.
An essential component of the session was mastering the principles of active listening. Participants learned how attentiveness toward a conversation partner, asking clarifying questions, summarizing key points, and considering non-verbal cues help build trust and mutual understanding.
Additionally, the session explored individual worldviews, as well as various thinking and information-processing styles. This enabled participants to better understand how to adapt their communication to the needs of their interlocutors and foster more effective interactions within teams and communities.
The training day combined theoretical insight with practical tools that participants can apply in their professional careers, the public sector, and daily life. The mini-MBA program “Action in Hope” continues to cultivate a community of active leaders capable of communicating effectively, uniting people around common goals, and fostering positive social change.
