Humanitarian Support from the Archeparchy of Prešov Arrives at the Greek Catholic Parish in Fastiv
November 21, 2025
On November 20, the parish community of St. Demetrius the Great Martyr in Fastiv, Kyiv region, received a new shipment of humanitarian aid from the Mudra Sprava Patriarchal Foundation. The assistance is designated for socially vulnerable groups affected by the war.

Representatives of the Patriarchal Foundation noted that the humanitarian aid was provided with the support of Archbishop and Metropolitan of the Slovak Greek Catholic Church, Bishop Jonah Maxim, and through the generosity and openness of the faithful of the Archeparchy of Prešov.
The aid was received by local pastors Fr. Vitaliy Martsyniuk and Fr. Mykhailo Bodnar. The cooperation between Fastiv volunteers and the foundation has been ongoing for a long time, ensuring stable support for people in difficult life circumstances. Since the beginning of the war, those in need have received food packages and other essentials, along with constant attention to their needs.
This initiative demonstrates how collective efforts can bring tangible relief to those who need it most. Special gratitude was expressed to priests Lyubomyr Yavorskyi, Yaroslav Valyukh, and Oleh Panchyniak for their sacrificial work.
“Creating good together makes us stronger together,” noted representatives of the St. Demetrius the Great Martyr parish in their post.
