December 6, 2024

On the first day of winter, December 1 st, the «Good Koziatyn» team, partnering with the Patriarchal Foundation Mudra Sprava in Koziatyn, Vinnytsia Oblast, hosted a festive charity fair.

Held in anticipation of Volunteer Day and the upcoming St. Nicholas Day, the event offered a delightful blend of entertainment and community support. Attendees enjoyed captivating dance performances, participated in engaging masterclasses, and generously purchased a variety of handmade crafts.

Last year, the Good Kozyatyn space, which brought together volunteers from Kozyatyn and IDPs, organised the first Charity Fair, creating a magical Christmas atmosphere long before the holiday. This year was no exception. The second Charity Fair was held on Sunday, December 1. It brought together young residents of Koziatyn and IDPs and their parents. This was reported by the editorial office of RIA Kozyatyn.

«Life may be challenging and unpredictable», Father Anton Borys, founder of the Good Koziatyn space, reflects, «but gratitude always finds a place. Today’s fair is a way for me and all our volunteers to express our heartfelt thanks. We are deeply grateful to everyone who leads classes here. A special thank you goes to the volunteers who joined us from Donetsk, Kharkiv, and Kherson — your presence and dedication are truly inspiring».

The Good Koziatyn space is supported by numerous charitable organizations, including the Patriarchal Foundation Mudra Sprava, Caritas Berdychiv, Caritas Kyiv, and Caritas Vinnytsia. Father Vasyl Komarnytskyi, founder of the Caritas Vinnytsia, graced the occasion by attending the Good Koziatyn Charity Fair to offer his congratulations.

«Volunteering transcends a mere job», emphasizes Father Vasyl. «It’s a calling, a commitment to consistently share our time, talents, and skills. Sometimes, it requires offering the most precious thing we have — ourselves — to ensure those in need feel safe, secure, and free from sorrow. This is a profound mission».

Father Anton Borys adds, «This year, our space has been blessed with young volunteers — we call them our „priceless children’. Their willingness to help fills our hearts with warmth, and their dedication is truly inspiring».

To recognize their invaluable contributions, both young and adult volunteers were presented with certificates of appreciation. Following this, a delightful concert program commenced. The audience was treated to captivating performances by the junior group of the «Vizavi» dance group, led by Nadiya Bortiuk, a dedicated volunteer at the «Good Koziatyn» space. The preparatory group of the «Vizavi» dance group also graced the stage with their talents. As a token of appreciation for their spirited performances, the young dancers of the «Vizavi» dance group were presented with sweet treats.

A heartwarming short video showcased the space’s vibrant activities throughout the year. A major highlight was the opening of the Good Koziatyn Library — more than just a lending library, it’s a hub for engaging workshops and insightful meetings. The space has also flourished with new clubs catering to all ages, including an animation studio, a paper modelling club, art therapy sessions, a game library, and an anime club.

The delightful concert program concluded, but the festivities continued to unfold with a vibrant array of masterclasses. Children of all ages enthusiastically participated, crafting festive Christmas tree decorations, whimsical paper lanterns, charming winter houses, and even three-dimensional paper stars. Artistic spirits young and old channelled their creativity by drawing heartfelt pictures for the soldiers. To complement these engaging activities, a welcoming table brimming with delicious treats awaited guests. Cakes, cookies, hot tea, and coffee provided a delightful respite and a chance to socialize.
