Families of Servicemen Visit Arden Predator Park as Part of a Rehabilitation Program
August 18, 2025
On Wednesday, August 13, 2025, a group of participants from a rehabilitation program for servicemen’s families visited Arden Predator Park, a rehabilitation center for wild animals located within the Podilski Tovtry National Nature Park near Sataniv, Khmelnytsk Oblast.

The participants, who are families of servicemen, visited Arden Predator Park as part of a spiritual and rehabilitation camp. They were able to see animals in an environment as close to the wild as possible and directly contribute to their psychological recovery through the positive effect of contact with living nature.
This event was organized by the Mudra Sprava Patriarchal Foundation and the UGCC Patriarchal Pilgrimage Center with the financial support of the international charitable foundation CNEWA.
It is worth noting that the park was established in 2020 as a sanctuary and rehabilitation center for animals that have suffered from improper living conditions in circuses, zoos, or war zones.
The center is located on an area of almost 32 hectares, with a landscape as close to a natural forest as possible.
It is home to hundreds of animals: brown bears (including Himalayan and Carpathian) — up to 40 individuals, about 28 wolves, as well as foxes, noble deer, roe deer, raccoons, porcupines, and large felines (lions, tigers, jaguars, leopards) and birds of prey — hawks, eagles, storks, etc.
This visit demonstrates how the combination of the Arden Predator Park’s eco-program with spiritual and rehabilitation initiatives creates opportunities for deeper emotional and psychological recovery for servicemen’s families through a harmonious, safe, and nature-oriented environment.
On the same day, together with the camp’s psychologists, the participants took part in art therapy, painting t-shirts.
