This is reported by the Information Department of the UGCC with reference to the press service of the Melbourne Eparchy of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul.

In June of this year, Bishop Mykola Bychok visited Slavutych in the Kyiv region, a city that was under occupation at the beginning of the war. The bishop handed over food packages from the Melbourne Eparchy to Father Yuriy Logaza, pastor of the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Slavutych, which were packed as part of the humanitarian initiative of the Patriarchal Foundation “Mudra Sprava”.

23 families of Ukrainian soldiers killed in the war who live in Slavutych gathered in the church, where, in addition to spiritual support, they were able to receive these food packages. On behalf of these families, Fr. Yuriy expressed his sincere gratitude to Bishop Mykola and the Eparchy of Melbourne for their assistance.

The charity event in Slavutych is a part of a broader initiative of the Patriarchal Foundation “Mudra Sprava” aimed at helping those in need in Ukraine. For more than 2 years, the Foundation has managed to provide 336,888 people with the most necessary things.
