Recently, a team from the Patriarchal Economate of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church visited the “Saint Sophia” Religious Society of Ukrainian Catholics in Philadelphia (Pennsylvania, USA).

The delegation included Father Lubomyr Yavorskyy, Patriarchal Econome of the UGCC; Iryna Havryshkevych, Head of the Project Department of the Patriarchal Curia; and Nataliya Parkulab, Head of the Finance Department of the UGCC.

The guests were welcomed by Dr. Iryna Ivankovych, President of the “Saint Sophia” Religious Society of Ukrainian Catholics in the USA. During the meeting, she spoke about the organization’s mission, activities, and projects, particularly its support for the spiritual, cultural, and educational heritage of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church.

“We shared the projects we are currently implementing as the Patriarchal Curia and the Patriarchal Foundation Mudra Sprava. It was a truly friendly and warm visit,” noted Fr. Lubomyr Yavorskyy.

The “Saint Sophia” Religious Society of Ukrainian Catholics in the USA is a non-profit organization founded in 1974 by His Beatitude Patriarch Josyf Slipyj. Its activities are aimed at supporting Ukrainian spiritual and cultural initiatives in the USA and Ukraine, including the development of the Patriarchal Center in Rome, the Ukrainian Catholic University, and various museum projects.
