Clusters as an Economic Driver: An Educational Day Within the “Action in Hope” Program Was Held in Samar
April 8, 2026
On April 4, 2026 Samar hosted another educational day within the Mini MBA program “Action in Hope,” organized by the “Mudra Sprava” Patriarchal Foundation. The third module brought together representatives of business, government, and the public sector around a topic that defines the economic development of modern territories — clusters.

Participants had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the cluster approach as a new model of thinking for businesses and regions. It was not merely about cooperation, but about creating a system of interconnected companies, organizations, and institutions that, by interacting, achieve a significantly greater result than they would individually.
During the training, it was examined exactly how clusters affect competitiveness. It was emphasized that companies operating within a cluster demonstrate better results, export more actively, and create more innovations and new jobs. This approach combines business, education, investment, and technology development into a single ecosystem.
Of particular interest were the examples of successful clusters from various countries around the world. Participants learned how small towns or even villages can become global leaders in narrow niches — ranging from the textile industry to the manufacture of specialized products. It is precisely the concentration of business, knowledge, and interaction that creates the so-called “economic anomalies,” where development significantly outpaces neighbouring territories.
Separately, the key characteristics of clusters were defined: specialization, a network of interconnections, and geographical concentration. These very components form the foundation for synergy and sustainable development.
According to the organizers, the event became a practical step toward rethinking the economic potential of communities. Participants discussed how to apply the cluster approach at the local level in order to stimulate entrepreneurship development, attract investment, and create new opportunities for the region.
In turn, the participants of the educational module noted that this module once again highlighted: the future belongs to the unification of efforts, where competition is combined with cooperation, and local initiatives are capable of reaching a global level.
