Clothes and shoes for the needy from the Slovak government distributed in Berdychiv
October 3, 2024
On October 2, 2024, the beneficiaries of the Caritas Ukraine Charitable Foundation in Berdychiv received another humanitarian aid from the Patriarchal Foundation “Mudra Sprava”.
According to the volunteers, more than a hundred people were able to receive sets of new clothes. Among them are internally displaced people, large families, people with disabilities and people in difficult life situations.
This time, women’s T-shirts for teenagers and adults, women’s and men’s shoes, as well as summer women’s clothing (trousers, shorts and dresses) were distributed.
“It is extremely difficult to organise a wardrobe, so we are grateful to the volunteers and staff who work every day to ensure that internally displaced people and local people in need receive support,” said the organisers.
The next distribution will be announced in advance.
This humanitarian aid was handed over by the Slovak government during a meeting between the Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to Ukraine Pavel Vizdal and the Director of the Patriarchal Foundation ‘’Mudra Sprava’’, Fr Lyubomyr Yavorskyy, on August 5, 2024.
During August-September 2024, the foundation’s team transferred clothes and shoes to the invincibility points, wound healing centres and Caritas Ukraine branches that are part of the church network. Then each of the charity’s branches began to form, sort and organise the distribution of humanitarian aid.
