Cardinal Mykola Bychok Spoke with Participants of the “Action in Hope” Mini-MBA Program in Odesa

On July 19, in Odesa, participants of one of the modules of the “Action in Hope” mini-MBA program had a special opportunity to speak with Cardinal Mykola Bychok, accompanied by Bishop Mykhailo Bubniy, Exarch of Odesa.

The meeting took place as part of Cardinal Mykola Bychok’s visit to Ukraine. During his stay, he visited the Odesa Exarchate of the UGCC, where he took part in a number of divine services and pastoral meetings, spoke with priests and the faithful, and learned about the life of the local church community under wartime conditions. This was reported by the press service of the Odesa Exarchate of the UGCC.
During the meeting with the program participants, the Cardinal shared the experience of his ministry in Australia and spoke about the life of the Ukrainian community abroad. He paid special attention to the situation of Ukrainian refugees who were forced to leave their homes due to the full-scale war. The Cardinal spoke about how Australian society supports Ukrainians, and how the local Church accompanies our compatriots and helps them adapt without losing their spiritual unity and connection with their Homeland.
The meeting took place in the format of an open dialogue. Everyone who wished had the opportunity to ask the Cardinal questions and receive a sincere and meaningful response. Frankness, simplicity in communication, and a willingness to listen created a special atmosphere of trust.
During the conversation, many participants expressed their gratitude to the Cardinal for the clear stance of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church regarding the war in Ukraine, as well as for his openness in serving people, supporting Ukrainians in various corners of the world, and untiringly bearing witness to the truth about events in Ukraine.
