Bishop Yosyf Milian consecrates a point of invincibility and Caritas center in Kyiv

The rite of consecration was performed by Bishop Yosyf Milian, Auxiliary Bishop of the Kyiv Archeparchy of the UGCC, in co-celebration with the clergy. The Darnytsia State District Administration representatives and director Mykola Kalashnyk Kyiv attended the event.

Addressing the audience, the bishop noted that this point is a place of invincibility because our heroes who bring Ukraine closer to victory are invincible. Likewise, all Ukrainians who unite and, through their activities, help to make their homeland better are also unbreakable. “It is here, at this point of invincibility, that we will build the invincibility of our people, connecting good initiatives and social activities that will help Ukrainians through this difficult time,” the bishop emphasized.

Fr. Andriy Bodnaruk spoke about Caritas and said that at the beginning of the war, they opened a modest Caritas at their parish, which received aid from abroad and passed it on to people who needed it.

“Moreover, with the support of the Caritas Kyiv Charitable Foundation, we have held many events in this place that enhance life in our society. Therefore, today we have launched another wise and good deed in this place with the support of the Patriarchal Foundation ‘Wise Cause’ — the Good Samaritan center. In addition, our parishioners, residents of the surrounding houses, and volunteers are involved in charitable and social initiatives here, such as weaving camouflage nets, making trench candles, master classes with children, etc.”, the priest emphasized.
