A “Point of Invincibility” has been established at the Cathedral of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker in Kharkiv

A “point of invincibility” has been established at the Cathedral of St Nicholas the Wonderworker in Kharkiv, thanks to the efforts of the Patriarchal fund “Wise Action” and the financial support of the Apostolic Exarchate for Ukrainian Catholics in Germany and Scandinavia.
At the “point” you can warm up, charge your phone, access internet, and simply rest.
“A tent is equipped with a heater, tables, benches, telephone chargers and internet. This is practical and necessary for Kharkiv, especially at this current time of war when many from our region suffer a lack of quotidian requirements: heat, light, means of communication,”—explained Bishop Vasyl Tuchapets, Exarch of Kharkiv.
The “point of invincibility” is open to everyone in need in the city of Kharkiv. Thursdays, when humanitarian aid is distributed, is probably busiest. On these days approximately 2000 people come to the Cathedral, including many children, pensioners, and individuals with disabilities. Even the volunteers who distribute the humanitarian aid can warm up in the tent or have some tea.
The tent is located by the church of St. Nicholas where spiritual support is available continuously for all who may want it. When aid is distributed, the bishop and priests are there for those who wish to speak with them. This is a regular practice, according to the church volunteer staff.
In addition, twice a week the cathedral runs catechism for children and spiritually themed meetings for adults. When the church has no electricity, the priests and catechists will hold their classes in the tent.
“We thank everyone who helped establish this heating centre in Kharkiv; special thanks to the Patriarchal foundation, ‘Wise Action’. This is, for us, great support and assistance”, added Bishop Vasyl.
