Afterward, the handcrafted dessert was served to wives, children, and even the camp’s spiritual director. Father Vasyl Kinakh himself eagerly joined the process, making his own ice cream.

In addition to the sweet treat, the day was filled with profound and important events. The families continued their sessions with psychologists, who are helping them restore inner peace and strengthen family bonds. The spiritual component was provided by a shared prayer led by the spiritual director. For the youngest participants, the “Vikha” community organized games and children’s entertainment.

The rehabilitation camp is being implemented by the Mudra Sprava Patriarchal Foundation in partnership with the UGCC Patriarchal Pilgrimage Center, with the support of the German foundation “Die Sternsinger.” The camp aims to be a space of healing, unity, and joy for families carrying the burden of war.

It’s worth noting that the rehabilitation camp organized by the Mudra Sprava Patriarchal Foundation is designed to provide quality physical rest, qualified psychological assistance, and effective spiritual recovery for Ukrainian service members released from Russian captivity and their families.
